Donald Trump critics aimed ridicule at the president after he publicly demanded the removal of his portrait at Colorado’s state capitol building, calling it “truly the worst”.
In a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, Trump shared an image of the portrait and complained about the painting, saying it was bad and blaming it on Colorado’s governor, Jared Polis – whom the president insulted as being “radically left”.
A Republican admirer of Trump actually commissioned the portrait.
They should replace it with one in this style. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/1024/media/images/62450000/jpg/_62450358_restoredfresco.jpg
What about this one?
First of all, Streisand effect. I’d never heard of this portrait but now I had to look it up.
Second, it’s not great but it’s way better looking that his raggedy orange face. He should shut up and take the win.
You wanna see it? Here it is:
It would look great in my motel.
Thank you for the head-on image of the painting.
It just looks like…a painting, rather than a photo. His face is a little broad (not chubby, just stretched horizontally), but that literally doesn’t matter?? It’s a painting. Not everyone can pull off (or even wants) photorealism in art.
I don’t think it’s very good, and it’s in a style I don’t care for. It’s not that bad, though, and looks better than Trump himself.
It’s a terrible portrait if they were going for accuracy
It certainly makes him look younger and more dignified.
The utter stupidity continues to astound me.
Its designed to distract you from the fact that Hegseth texted an Atlantic reporter the complete war plans for attacking the Yemen rebels.
Like everything, man. Weapons, time, place, personal involved, the whole schmear.
