    Two big reasons I decided not to have kids: even before Trump, I didn’t trust any large government to take the serious, permanent, expensive measures required to address our environmental issues… not before it’s too late, that is.

    Secondly, the cost of living (in the US) is insane, and probably just going to get worse. I don’t think it’s fair to saddle children with the mistakes caused and perpetuated by previous generations.

      If you want to look at the Cost of Living in the US as a Blue vs. Red state :: Contrary to popular belief, blue states tend to be cheaper than red in the long term (5+ years).

        probably depends on where you live big cities vs a town , or something. i wonder if GOP red states purposely saddle the blue counties with more taxes, or make it more expensive for them?
