Out of curiosity I even went on to some libertarian subreddits to see how they were discussing it. Not only is it being downplayed, but done a 180 that they even supported Milei to begin with.
“Libertarians” are just pro-corporate douches who smoke weed.
Some of them also really want to get rid of age of consent laws.

Back in the 1990s, they actually had some things going for them. They were advocating for police reform, legalized weed, fewer foreign wars, tons of stuff that became mainstream much later, back in the days when it was basically one neoliberal bullshit in a suit vs. other neoliberal bullshit in a suit.
Ron Paul and Ralph Nader kind of stole their thunder by combining it with other more modern good ideas, and over time it started to become mainstream to think bad things about having the Borg running all our businesses and government, but back in the early days they were a rare breath of counterculture. No idea if they would have flamed out into Dale Gribble nonsense if they’d ever gotten power, but I still give them credit for doing it before it was cool. I think I told someone in the mid-2000s that I was still a Libertarian in the voting registry and he was baffled and thought it was hilarious. He knew me as generally a super-lefty and he couldn’t get his head around it. Well, I mean I didn’t want to vote for either Clinton or Dole, what the fuck else was I supposed to do.
