“It’s a matter of asking: Whose safety and security are they prioritizing?” said a representative of a California domestic violence shelter that lost a federal grant in a culling from the Trump administration.

California needs to secede and start up the NCR.

Proportional representation would go a long way toward fixing many of this country’s issues.

Conservatives don’t care about addressing or preventing crime. Because they fundamentally believe that bad things can’t happen to good people, ergo if anything bad happens to you then you deserve it, they’re ultimately a-okay with just having cops execute suspects on the spot.

Exactly, if you prevent crime in the first place, there’s no criminals to be tough on.

Conservatives don’t want to actually prevent crime, they just want to be able to loudly and visibly abuse and imprison an out-group.

The hypocrisy is a feature, not a bug. Don’t waste your time and breath.

I saw this posted by my dad earlier this morning. He was so happy that they’re hurting people that are also Americans.

Anything to diminish California. Trump and MAGA can’t abide California functioning well because it contradicts their message that liberal-run states are implicitly worse off than conservative-run states.

That’s not the one I hear. I hear that people from all over the world come here for highly specialized, supreme care. But I guess it’s OK to provide that while large blocks of your population are uncovered or under served. No moral implications there for these people!
