I saw Sports Center for the first time in like a decade last weekend, they were covering Wrestlemania as if it was an actual competition. Even when one of the “top 10” was someone openly cheating, and then they did an interview about how much work it took.
Like, the weirdest part was it felt like modern “political analysis” where everyone just pretends it’s not rigged and the current “champ” is a blatant cheat.
Because it’s all fake. They are faking culture and forcing it down our throats. All these YouTubers coming out of nowhere acting fucking stupid like clavicular? That’s Peter Thiels doing. Fake fake fake.

for a while i used to think wrestlemania is just drama for dudes too macho to admit they like musical theatre. it’s delightful and their fanbase is wonderfully welcoming. there’s a really good reason a lot of the other special needs kids watched professional wrestling, and it’s because the other fans accept them for who they are.
