To be fair, if I found myself in this situation, I would also hide behind Stephen Miller. I would also make rude gestures at the shooter while continuously hurling invective at them, questioning their accuracy, hygiene, ancestry, and anything else I could think of to get them to shoot in my direction.

Hiding behind Miller seems like a good way to increase your odds of being collateral damage.
