Summary

ICE admitted it mistakenly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia—despite his legal protection from removal—to El Salvador’s brutal CECOT prison.

A Maryland judge had barred his deportation due to gang threats in El Salvador.

The Trump administration claims it can’t intervene since he’s no longer in U.S. custody.

His family is suing to compel his return. The administration also deported over 200 Venezuelans using emergency powers, some without criminal records, sparking legal challenges and criticism of its use of the Alien Enemies Act.

When criminals are running the country the definition of criminals is meaningless.

However ‘criminals’ in quotes as used by Fox News is probably alt-speak for hispanics and anyone else they don’t want in the US.

And by undesirables they mean race, sexuality and gender identities minorities, disabled, anyone who votes democrat, anyone who flips parties, the poor, homeless people.

The only people who will be safe are rich or middle class white cis gender heterosexual people.

Bullshit they can’t get them back. They’re paying for their detention there. Which means they’re still in control of it. El Salvador wants more business, and they aren’t stupid. They’d send one back to keep Trump sending them hundreds.

Yeah, this framing is all wrong. It portrays Trump’s regime as incompetent, but the reality is that they’re just lying. “Oops, soo sorry, it’s out of our hands!”
