  • honestly the cons and liberals are virtually the exact same party of corpo teet suckers with a few slight personality differences.

they both use identity politics to mask their corporate agendas.

Im tremendously disappointed in carney for his anti privacy bills, and expansion of a surveillance/ police state in canada. while also sharing our private data with the US.

the liberals and cons are corporate sellouts, they dont give a shit about our rights or well being. just the “economy”.

edit: for those who cant see this, and are disturbed about me making this comparison. do what i did for the last twenty years. pour over voting records, policy changes, proposed policy changes, and foreign investment trends between cabinets. economic trends in general around housing, oil and gas, grocery chains, telecom, vehicles, lack of proper funding to public healthcare, deliberate underfunding, proposed private alternatives, lack of action to undo damage caused by these antics. why the overwhelming majority of representatives on both sides are landlords, or are invested in realestate funds.

the reason parliment is so crazy and fun to watch is because it is political THEATER. its meant to distract and entertain. both parties are constantly auditioning for corporations, to see who would better keep us docile and productive.

the cons and the libs are pepsi and coke. both distinct in flavour, yet both owned by the same company who manufactures their rivalry, and they make a profit no matter which side you pick. because they will always support the status quo, and protect investment. doing the bare minimum to improve our lives. they wouldnt be allowed to get to that level of government if they werent groomed and prepped for their positions. virtually guaranteed to not rock the boat.

neo liberalism loves consistent returns on investment. regardless of the drawbacks to the public.

  • nope, they would be coralled and shot by drones and police officers, bombed to shit, and all called terrorists. made an example of, to keep everyone else in check. people seeking refuge from that system would either choose to suffer in it, die attempting to change it, or join those that enforce it.

its been that way for a while now. everyone is too undereducated and isolated via technologu to create a proper resistance force, at least with numbers that matter. even fewer are actively willing to do violence for moral reasons, due to decades of brainwashing by the systems of control to view “peaceful protest” as the only vehicle for change, anything more is considered immoral.

its very useful to have us think that way, as violence is the only historical cure for fascism.

  • honestly yes, defunding ICE, would be like dismantling the SS in germany. which did happen after WW2, along with the gestapo. they were declared a criminal organization, who committed crimes against humanity.

did all of them suffer for it? no, many of them were reabsorbed into other programs and orgs for the cold war by allies and even germany itself.

but those were only the valuable or lucky members (think project paper clip). most of the remaining less valuable members without good enough connections either fled or faced the nuremburg trials. even those that fled faced trials for decades afterwards.

ICE, if the progressives ever win, will likely be “dismantled” due to public outcry, if not that, its funding will be dramatically reduced to pre trump levels or lower, and those funds put into different agencies, and its less important members will either be absorbed into things like the military, “less extreme” border agencies, the police, national guard, etc. while ones who are proven to have commited terrible acts will likely be charged, if they dont flee in some form afterwards.

this of course is a “hopeful” outlook, history may repeat itself from time to time, but sometimes it plays the telephone game with itself. this is not a blue print, but a potential outcome based on history.

i guess we’ll see. but i HIGHLY doubt the next election will be fair, or have a progressive outcome.

there will likely be a full blown civil war before another “fair” election is had again.

  • huh, i never once considered her special because of her skin colour, it was more so her acts and the thoughts that she verbalised, simply by being human and going above and beyond to help out her fellow humans, and bring attention to their strife. not saying you are incorrect in assuming the core reason of her popularity was due to her skin tone. but id argue (without trying to sound like a dick) that maybe its more about her actions and willingness to use her privilege, while being an autistic person with severe justice sensitivity, that may be the bigger story here.

we dont need to reduce people to their skin colour and privilege in order to find them worthy of our support, and willingness to accept their support in return. and it shouldnt be frustrating that the person helping you or others doesnt look how you want them to.

its not her skin that makes her special, its her mind and how she uses it. perhaps this speaks more about my own views on race, the worlds, or perhaps its speaks more about yours.

when you are blind, wandering in the dark, a helping hand is a helping hand, afterall.

    BUUUUUUT.

if you would like to drop a few names of some other activists with different backgrounds doing good work right now, to bring some light their names, im always down to be inspired. as im sure everyone else in the thread would be as well. :D

i thought it was pretty self explanitory but having to pay to wipe your ass in a public washroom, or watch ads to fuel more consumption seems pretty capitalistic in practice.

and undereducated? ill have you know i have a university degree, where i majored in porkin’ yer mum, and i minored in holding my nose and mouth closed while i did it.
