These statements are often made in the same breath.

The last time this was discussed, my understanding is that Article 5 of NATO would activate, with the US being the aggressor.

Whether the rest of NATO would actually attack US forces would be the question.

Trump’s lack of ability to control the US doesn’t mean he can’t bring instability to the EU. Quite the opposite. If he can bring doubt into the coalition, then it will become easier for him to get what he wants, which is a smaller voting bloc.

This is why I hate people who say they hate being on a jury.

You have the most direct access to affect your society in a jury box than you do at the ballot box.

Iirc correctly, Amazon actually doesn’t resell their returns. At least not through their storefront.

They have “return auctions” where returns are put onto a pallet and then people bid on them to purchase. Apparently this is cheaper than having a workflow for their returns, checking them to make sure they are resellable, and then stocking them back into their warehouse.

Democrats lost for two main reasons:

• they failed to energize their base
• they didn’t push Biden out fast enough

They didn’t have much control over the second point. Biden was holding onto power like every other president until other party leaders turned on him.

But DNC fully owns the first point. 2024 saw the same playbook as 2016: at least I’m not Trump.

That worked in 2020 because Trump was president. But the DNC failed to deliver any lasting and impactful change during Biden that everyday Americans could point their finger and say, “I want more of that.” Instead, Biden delivered mediocre “stay the course” programs, which given the Republican Congress, was a miracle but it doesn’t win you elections.

The DNC report probably blames Harris for being a woman and probably puts blame on genocide issue voters and will, undoubtedly, learn the wrong lesson again. They are going to keep moving to the right despite clear evidence that the American people want a government that works for them, and not a government they merely tolerate.

If you want change in the DNC, we need to form a new party. The perfect time is to start now, before primaries are underway for midterms. Have progressive candidates sign on as Democrats, pledging to support a progressive party if enough representatives win. If the DNC complains that they are splitting the vote, progressives should clap back and say they are bowing to fascists.

Republicans want power. They don’t care how they get it. They will negotiate in bad faith to get it.

It was the exact same. the math of this is that verizon makes enough money on the contract that they can pay for a phone within your 3 year contract.

When I left my company, I had to get a new phone. When I talked to the rep, the phone cost was essentially free with a contract.

The offer was that Verizon would pay for the phone over the course of three years.

So it’s not financing so much as it was free with a contract. When I asked why this was, he said that it was due to how the market was. Everyone has a phone at this point so now cell service provides have to compete to keep people. So they are willing to pay for your phone so long as you are locked in with them.

It’s easy because school administrators are more afraid of conservatives than they are of progressives.

Conservatives have always been fine with federal government taking away other states rights.

The civil war started because the South didn’t want the federal government to force them to stop using slaves but 100% okay with the federal government forcing Northern states to return slaves back to the South.

Legit question: why didn’t you take the domain before trademark was issued?

If you already had the name registered (but not issued), couldn’t you essentially cybersquat yourself and then buy it from yourself after it’s been issued?

And yet this lesson will be completely lost to established DNC, and they will learn the wrong lesson again and move further to the right.

Meanwhile we’ll get another Trump who promises Great Things whereas Democrats will promise to keep things the same.

We desperately need a new political party that can push people who want change to vote progressive.
