I think at this point Trump is like a giant gorilla in the room. You have to distract him with something and hope he will not get angry or interrupt anything serious. He doesn’t really understand what’s going on around him, he just randomly picks up things and plays with them until he gets bored. You can never interrupt or correct him but real work happens behind his back.

If you’re not a citizen you don’t have any rights. It’s nearly impossible to file a complaint after they deported you. They can just deny you entry (or worse) and even if technically it was illegal there’s nothing you can do about it.

Interesting. I live in a place that often has drought but the regulations focus more on agricultural use, swimming pools and public uses like beach showers, fountains and so on. No one is regulating toilets and shower heads. I think it’s assumed that everyone gets the same water pressure and that’s it, no need to regulated it on a toilet level.

He’s doing it because that’s one of the few things he can do without judges and Congress getting in his way. He expects other leaders to offer him deals (i.e. bribes) now. He doesn’t care about average American. It’s all about how HE can make some extra $.

It will end up like brexit. Most people who voted for him will stay in the sect no matter what. When enough people finally switch to hand power back to the democrats it will be too late to simply reverse most of what Trump did and slow rebuilding will start. If Democrats elect competent leaders they will actually fix things. If not they will just continue working with what Trump left for them (like with Starmer)

Elon is not coming back from this. His image as a genius businessman is gone. The left will not forgive him heiling on stage. If he loses MAGA’s support he will be left without a fan base. Hard to imagine this man-child not just completely disintegrating because of this.
