

Subconsciously, many (10-25% depending on culture and social conditions) people long for the protection of a benevolent father figure who will save, nurture and esteem them (especially in today’s ultraneoliberal jungle)…
But the benevolence depends on who you are and fluctuates with time. So you might end up under a malignant father figure if you end up at odds with it. These people who can’t imagine they would ever be the targets of the father figure are the ones who think they are the chosen/good ones who can do no wrong.
