    What makes you think that?

    What evidence do you have?

The fact a bunch of people on Twitter said it doesn’t mean it’s a 1:1 ratio to voting.

All the polls agree people lean more towards Israel than Palestine. Particularly in swing states like Ohio and Pennsylvania.

  • Beyond him being an idiot and a racist and evil, who the fuck talks like this?

He called the UK and France “random countries” when dismissing their importance to mutual security agreements.

He talks like a 4chan dipshit. Which he probably was. Even if he is completely blocked from power for the next four years, just having this moron one heartbeat away from the Presidency has done truly horrific damage to the respect and prestige of the Office.

If by some miracle Trump steps back from the tariffs and the concentration camps and the blatant authoritarianism and the wholesale destruction of the federal government, the damage to America as an idea is something that none of us will live to see undone.

  • Is it wrong that I am less infuriated by this than I am by the fact people still worship this idiot?

At this point, I am exhausted with being outraged by him. I cannot hate him more than I already do. Doing more evil shit may actually make me hate him less, because I simply cannot keep up to date with all the new reasons to hate him. But I cannot comprehend how millions of people can function in the world while still behaving like everything he does is objectively right. Not even the truly repulsive, monstrous shit, but the petty, insufferable bullshit like this. How do you excuse it? It do not comprehend how anyone can look at this and say, “Yeah, this guy should have nigh-unlimited power over the country and the ability to throw the world into chaos with a Tweet.”

  • What is complicated about it?

The reforms you refer to allowed for political dissent. If the Soviet Union was some worker’s paradise, then allowing people complain wouldn’t change anything.

The simple reality is that the Soviet Union was a dictatorship that only survived as long as it did because it was a dictatorship. Once people had the option of opposing Communist rule, they did. And that is what killed the Soviet Union. Not some conspiracy by the United States or the kulaks.
