The original reply was great, I just want to make it dead simple: if bonds continue to be sold off in these numbers, it indicates investors no longer believe in a future where the US dollar is the international reserve currency. This is very bad if you’re an American.
I’m more concerned with the bond sell-off, that’s a very bad sign.

They’ve branched out over the years but this is still very much in their wheelhouse. It was created by Dave Eggers. Quick edit, yes this site itself is literally billed as humor but McSweenys as a whole is not
VOA is/was one of the most reliable shortwave radio stations around the world in English that I was ever able to get. That’s what I’ll miss about it.
