This is someone’s hands standing behind her and embracing her… ;)
Proudly and obviously made without AI x)
JD’s small dick?
Acting humane is about keeping society off a slippery slope not about the billionaires. Keeping people in check is a States prerogative, acting humanely should be a societies first priority.
Being a raging lunatic killing everything and everyone you disagree with sounds a lot like the nazis but left leaning. ;)
Punishment has to be about protection for the people and about rehabilitation of the individual. Don’t forget the pedophile has no choice in his proclivities. So getting him to make healthy safe choices is the goal and protecting children from him. Not killing him, but storing him safely is not about his wellbeing but about keeping the rest of society acting humanely. People here talk about basic income all the time. Not being humane is a slippery slope for society, and the cost of not entering it is very much worth it.
Don’t insult people over their nature. Money corrupts, especially over many generations. They just play a rigged game and have the edge to win. Time for some regulations. Social capitalism is the answer, fair taxes even on rich people. Prevent wealth hoarding over a certain point. Stop insulting people and get to three voting booth. Start telling real people to change their vote.

News@lemmy.world•A teenager redrew the Alabama voting map – and it’s now state law
41·28 days agoYeah, you gotta be careful not to overcorrect. Thanks for pointing that out. Using the same tools to ensure neutrality (good) instead of biasing the vote to the other extreme (bad) is a pleasant surprise in of itself. But that this is the map they selected? Mind blown.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone have any hopeful success stories of surviving abusive parents and finding happiness later in life?
12·28 days agoFree as in freedom. Which is the thing OP needs most right now.

21·29 days agoRunning is cheap. If you don’t have dependents and are willing to work. They said they have some money saved up. Just buy a greyhound ticket or equivalent and leave your phone behind and a letter not to come looking, ever. Make your way until you can afford to travel in the direction you want to go. Its the life waiting for anyone the second they decide to step out the door. Its neither easy nor comfortable, but its free.

101·29 days agoThat might be the kind of circumstances that should give you grounds to leave forever. How about leaving to a welfare state where your family will never find you? Move to Germany, being disabled is not a crime here and education here is excellent, so is healthcare.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•At your age, what surprises you the most about yourself?
1·29 days agoReads like you described my life to a tee. But I’m 38. Have three kids, T levels regular. Chatgpt gives something between burnout and post vital infection fatigue (aka might be long covid). Exercise would be just the worst thing you can do. Pacing works for me, slowly getting better. Although some days are really bad. Its not in my nature not to push constantly, so I’m having a hard time.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How much money do you think those generic porn sites that just link to other porn sites make?
1·1 month agoLmao, you guys thinkt those are making money? Those are portal sites. They form a classifier for what porn you like and take you to a matching payed offering. They series of sites you clock through show which porn you like and are the precursor to click tracking on the start page where you select a category before a video.
The darker part if I remember correctly was that kiddie porn sites used to filter entry by those referrers. So police would not find them, but people that look for it would find that 25 layers down in one of those classifiers.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Parents, have you ever said something hurtful to your child that you "didn't mean to say"?
5·1 month agoI like it. Should be far ahead on that. She’s a smart cookie and she knows it. We tell her at least daily. Unfortunately she likes to use her smarts against people which is a regular reason to tell her she’s smart and not to abuse that to hurt her siblings or trick her friends at school.

14·1 month agoI have regrettably called one of my kids stupid on occasion because I was very mad. Apologized later, told her I didn’t mean it but that I wanted to say it was a stupid thing to do. Not that she was stupid.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Humans suddenly gain the ability to selectively delete their memories. How do you use this ability? (if at all) How do you think society would change?
2·1 month agoHeal the world from generational trauma. Would probably reduce murders by 90% worldwide. Imagine all those child soldiers would have empathy again. Imagine Donnie would suddenly forget how daddy treated him all those years?!

Great talk, atrocious format to watch in Lemmy. I recommend using https://media.ccc.de/
