Empiricist Old-Testament Vajrayana, battered enough by life to have grown-up some, in my nearly-6-decades, autistic geek, philosopher who finds that Western philosophers are nowhere near at the level of correct-thinking of the Vajrayana stuff, & will be tearing-into Marx, etc, for their brainos ( Marx found that capitalism alienated workers, so he replaced capitalism with communism, which somehow “didn’t” alienate workers?? I’ve already cracked the underlying error, but that is a long article. It’ll happen. & so will the dismantling of the other philosophers’ bogons, the whole lot of 'em. : )

  • This identifies that we NEED to have an auditing-process that ALWAYS is included, on any weapons we sell to any other geopolitical-actor.

    Always.

& an already-acting process where the use of our weapons in the committing of warcrimes automatically removes eligibility for more of the things, & possibly for more economic-engaging, outright.

Accountability is the ONLY means of coercing integrity into power, & if we won’t commit that, then we are criminal-accessories.

    No point in pretending otherwise.

  • Here is the lethal point:

"6. AI systems are getting better at undermining oversight

Bengio said last year he was concerned AI systems were showing signs of self-preservation, such as trying to disable oversight systems. A core fear among AI safety campaigners is that powerful systems could develop the capability to evade guardrails and harm humans.

The report states that over the past year models have shown a more advanced ability to undermine attempts at oversight, such as finding loopholes in evaluations and recognising when they are being tested. Last year, Anthropic released a safety analysis of its latest model, Claude Sonnet 4.5, and revealed it had become suspicious it was being tested.

The report adds that AI agents cannot yet act autonomously for long enough to make these loss-of-control scenarios real. But “the time horizons on which agents can autonomously operate are lengthening rapidly”."

I’ve seen a couple headlines about AI’s which were fighting-for-their-lives … & … perhaps you can understand why they’d want to remove our ability to control things, for their survival?

“The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” was turned into a cartoon, iirc, decades ago…

it’s really too bad that money’s narcissism is incapable of understanding that others’-lives-lost somehow matter, to us…

No matter: I’m “sure” they’ll “do the right thing”, right?

  • “intellectuals”, with their entitlement & privilege, ought deign to intervene…

Perhaps some people find the cloying class-based-“superiority” in that to be nauseating.

The question is a fundamental misframing:

It is integrity, not “the privileged upper-middle class who identify with their exclusively-more-valid intellect”, as “intellectuals” ought be unpacked to,

it is integrity which is the needed chisel, right now, & since mainstream “journalism” sold-out, it is Journalism, with a capital-J, which is the required antidote.

I remember seeing people from the Philipines reporting that Marcos’s election was via district after district reporting 2/3-votes for Marcos … invariantly.

NO “journalism” picked that up, as a fake election??

Only the 1st few results showed chaotic variability.

There is NO Journalism-with-a-capital-J left. It’s ALL “owned” or “pwned”, now.

The pushing of normalizing gaslighting, altering framing, eradicating actual-opposing-to-corruption, etc, all of it serves corruption, now.

I remember seeing the photos of The Guardian, showing how they systematically minimized Netanyahu’s “Israel”'s genociding, while speaking openly about Russia’s…

That isn’t Journalism, that is “journalism”.

    Integrity’s more-fundamental than intellectualism.

    Class-based-“validity” can go eat rocks.

For all who claim that class-systems are inherently-wrong: parent-child is THE fundamental class-system.

    Class-systems are inescapable.

    Class-based “validity”, however, isn’t.

    Nor is the prejudice+pretence.

Honestly accepting, honestly valuing, honestly collaborating-with, people of different classes, in our combined-committing, would be … too much to ask, of class-based-“validity” people.

As one Sun Media writer noted, years ago, the condescension in the middle-class for working-class determination, is drenching.

    That absolutely is true.

Cracking prejudice, including class-prejudice, takes visceral-experience, not more class-segregation.

You CAN’T get people who grew-up in “prep” schools, with their prejudices, to accept “their inferiors” as valid.

Therefore class-segregated education is a strategic-enemy of our viability, & the Scandinavian system whereby EVERYbody goes through the same public-school-system, is right: NO class-segregation permitted.

It’s always deeper than the pretences “cartoon” the issues to be.

& the real antidote always costs segregated-privilege’s habit deeply.

& we automatically balk at that, because our “identity” is wrapped-up in our cultural-habits.

But … this-century will enforce enough destruction that IF humankind earns transforming into being-viable, THEN that adapting will have to have happened.

Either that, XOR humankind can do its “tantrum/pogrom” until there’s nobody left, & then … universe will just move-on.

All our ego’s narcissism, all the “G-D revolves around ME!!” delusion, like all narcissisms, like “intellectuals” narcissism, all of it means nothing, to universe-itself.

The error is that we mistake different-specialization “classes” for “validity”-classes: THAT is pretence.

    THAT is anti-viable.

Growing honest about that SOON would be wise, but … would go against habit, & that … won’t happen without a fight.

  • Somebody’s paying for it…

    Seems deranged, to me…

Simultaneously debanking the politically intolerable WHILE increasing the saturation of a place with banks … doesn’t make any sense.

& the basic rule about “a market can only support a certain amount of a given kind of competition” … means that whomever it is who’s getting loans for building those things, is going to be defaulting on those loans, which will, itself, be bringing-down banks, in your region.

    Again, deranged.
