I think we already have an cold war, considering the activities of ICE and how the Trump Regime is doing everything possible to destroy institutions. Sooner or later, things will turn hot.
It is with that belief, that I have already chosen to join the Blue States Military, in whatever capacity they think is useful. Odds are that I would just be a generic infantryman, as that would free up the smart and capable people for the stuff that needs skilled labor.

My sentiment is against American Facism. Far as I am concerned, Dogey Americans have willfully abandoned the Constitution and their humanity.

AI might be good for simulating attacks, because they can do lots of attempts and iteration. IMO, AI and (competent) people would make for a good pairing for trying out ideas before deploying a project into the real world.
Considering that we may have WW3 started by the United States, I very much approve of Europe and friends cutting out America. It would be preferable if they had fully vetted and stockpiled arms, rather than makeshift drones made out of bedframes.

People in positions of power, should be barred from stocks, have fixed and modest incomes attached to the poverty line, and other such fiscal limitations. It has been proven time and again, that the rich will do anything to become richer, no matter who else it hurts.
And no, I am not going to believe people who say “this doesn’t reward merit”. That is a belief espoused by fools or grifters.
The average income should allow the ordinary person to own a house, be free of debt, and enjoy life. Dickheads like Mike Johnson are far beyond what allows a person to be happy.
China’s CXMT might go for it. Apparently they are rolling out DDR5 8000+ memory, two or three years from now. They can rebrand as Crucial for the western market, thus using familiarity to push their product.

As someone who does AI and gaming as hobbies, I look forward to a corporate bubble popping. Being able to max out an EPYC or Threadripper Pro’s DDR5 capacity would be awesome. :)
I view AI to be like the internet: Most corporate players won’t survive the bubble, but the ones that do, will be incredibly influential. Ordinary people made great use of the internet - but failed to make it really decentralized. Thus the enshittification of Reddit, Youtube, social media, and so forth.
We can choose to embrace local LLM that is fully under our control, or cede ownership to the 1% forevermore.
I can see this as an actual tactic. It means that do-gooders have to handle each and every one of the released, or be forced to focus on just one.

If Illinois decades to get off their butts and prosecute ICE, they should cross reference the rentals with traffic cameras. Presumably the rentals have GPS trackers - so check the routes they take with the cameras, and see if the plates magically change.
