Like, they don’t even pretend to care about being honest. They’ve long since realized that there’s no repercussions for lying (not any real ones at least). So now, they just spew them endlessly, we live in a post-truth world.

But what will happen in practice is then the politicians will vote to raise the age of retirement, thereby giving them more time in office. Yes, we all want more people like Mamdani. His policies are everything that I want, that most of us want. But you’d also have to be politically ignorant to not realize that his platform is on shakey ground nationwide. You can do something like Mamdani in a blue stronghold like NY. But across the nation? At this moment in time? No chance, you might as well just hand GOP the keys to power ad infinitium.

tween daughter has adhd, easily falls into tiktok brainrot hellholes. Has trouble with self-regulation and self-control… I still want her to have music to listen to and do things (some lofi to study/chill to, etc)… but now, Spotify is yet another vector for distraction that consumes her.
