We are lucky enough to have the royals as a check and balance. The moment an authoritarian party gets into power the Governor/Queen can and has previously booted the ruling Government out. (See Prime Minister Menzies controversy)

Sorry I got the wrong PM, yes Whitlam not Menzies. As to the claim of the CIA conspiracy, frankly its irrelevant it is an example of the CROWN power being executed by the Governor General.
Who knows, if the US were still under the crown maybe Trump could eventually be removed, he is certainly on track to create the inflation.
