When scrolled past this post i assumed it was news about some gay party somewhere, then I noticed the women aren’t dressed for that, than i noticed the headline was about something nazi happening at the party and only then i realised the gay part was only in my head because of the shirtless dude doing the nazi salute the headline is talking about. How is it possible all these right wing conservative people are so against anything gay but then decide to look like that and how are all of their likeminded people so ok with it? If i showed up to a pride somewhere they’d beat me up for it. So strange.

In The Netherlands a suspect can be convicted of a crime even if he doesn’t doesn’t appear before court. He would be wise to send a lawyer in his place so he gets some form of defense, but if he doesn’t the trial will still happen.

It did. I don’t know how common this is, but in The Netherlands a suspect doesn’t have to be present for his trial, so he can get convicted even if he isn’t there. Since we have good diplomatic ties across the world, we would likely pressure the host country for extradition. A lot of countries are willing to give up individual citizens to maintain that diplomatic relation.

Also, her brothers are also suspects and they are actually in custody.

Dutchie here, her disappearance, the investigation and the trial all have been widely covered by national news. Completely agreeing with you on the Daily Mail being a legitimate source and they might well have their own agenda for publishing this but what’s in the post (havent opened the daily mail article) is all true.

I’m not sure who’s behind nltimes (they translate news from the Netherlands so for me there is no reason to check them ever), but I’ve seen it linked in many occasions before and have never seen a headline that striked me as false.

Don’t forget it’s not only about having the right skin colour, having the right political views also matters.

It’s not always hate, sometimes there is no emotion at all and they just need a scapegoat.

In the Netherlands there is also a class-action lawsuit coming up, guess there is roughly the same amount of android users here. Maybe a bit more. Will be interesting to see how much lower that amount will be.

Agree, i never mind when any person who did evil things stands up when another person does something else evil. The more people calling the evil deed out the better.

To give you one example, there where a few million protesting against all that happening. Not sure if that falls under national pride, but it sure is societal pride.

To be honest I had never heard of Bob Vylan before, so the people screaming they should be banned (so they dont become known?) reached the opposite effect, at least for me personally.

I’m not against people having money, but to have a thousand times more than most people can make in their entire lifetime is just taking it too far. There should be a cap after which you pay 90% tax or something
