  • I was thinking of those poor young men and women who are already at the bottom of society and have no chance. I’m Indigenous Canadian so I know what it feels like to be at the bottom of the pile and I’ve lived with and know many young men and women who faced a life of prosecution. At one point you lose hope and give up and realize that no matter what you do, you’re going to get punished. Most people have a survival instinct that kicks in and says hang on and keep hoping for something. But I’ve also seen people lose hope and then just go out in a blaze of glory and kill and destroy as much as they can on their way out.

This is why capital punishment of any kind doesn’t work … once you take away people’s hope, then they become reckless and give up on following any social norms or laws.

  • It isn’t the work of one man or even five or six … it’s an entire political party and all their wealthy backers and supporters who are financing this circus that are either working at this, supporting it, enabling it or just standing aside and doing nothing to stop it.

Stop thinking that this is the work of one powerful person … it’s all enabled by an entire community of idiots that want all of this.

  • Same thing happened with Japan.

This is before my time but I’ve known lots of older people who born in the 50s and grew up in the 60s and 70s.

Products made in Japan were once considered cheap things. I ride motorcycles so I talk to a lot of people about the history, especially with Honda and Yamaha. North American motorcycles were first British, German and American. When the Japanese started in the 50s and 60s, everyone laughed at them … a common racist thing to call them back then was ‘rice cookers’ … but within a decade, they took over and by the 80s they were dominating.

The same thing is happening in the EV market. Right now everything is even and the market is still new. But in a decade or two or less, the Chinese will dominate everything.
