I am currently on a dorm, and I absolutely hate being with people. I just feel uncomfortable 24/7 being around others, especially random people. Thankfully my roommate doesn’t seem particularly social either - I didn’t actually talk with him yet, and I’ve been here since the start of September.

Now the unfortunate part, he left for Christmas. That means I am alone. Hell, even others from the next room in our cell (2 rooms per bathroom) left. And instead of enjoying that break from others, no, I’ll have to be with family. With my parents, at home, no own room, constantly on watch.

Unfortunately, I have no way to really stay here anyway, I can’t wash my clothes here. There are washing machines, which sounds convenient, until you realize they only take contactless payment cards which is something I don’t use (blocked) (only chip + PIN or cash). I literally have… let me check - 19x EUR 2 coins for vending machines. They could’ve had some of those.

Anyway, so, uh…, misery is what I am planning.

I usually use Liberation Mono, Adwaita Mono and Source Code Pro. I also really like Terminess Nerd Mono, but it only looks good if line width equals to 1 pixel. It’s really only meant for fixed resolution.

Yeah, especially since I know I likely wouldn’t play it much.
On the other hand, if it was free (also as in money) and open-source, and I liked it, I could donate. Although I don’t have much money, so probably just smaller amounts, better than the 0 I do right now by not gaming instead.
For example, I absolutely wouldn’t pay $9.60 for Binary Eye (barcode/2D code scanner app) if it cost that much, but as a donation that was fine.

The problem is bugs being far bigger issue. Imagine a bug/crash causing your throttle to get stuck and brakes not working.

Biggest issue is whatever is going on with mobile devices compared to desktop. I don’t know what you call it here, drivers? But each device is just so closed down, you can’t “just run” another software on it. I imagine if desktops also each required custom images based on model, people would only be using unmodified pre-installed Windows.
