Liessocial (love the name) is, believe it or not, a jacked up Mastodon instance. So in theory, you should be able to just add .rss to the end of a given url to get a feed of that page.
A typical bike-riding leftist urbanite who also happens to be a hockey-crazy Western Canadian.

You can use RSS! As long as the accounts you are wishing to follow are publicly accessible without logging in, you can paste the link into rss.app and it will spit out an RSS feed that you can subscribe to.

It’s also a way to inflate the number of ads a user has to wade through before they find what they’re looking for. Classic monopolist bullshit.

Davey Havok is still out there, somewhere

Ice Cold Beer. While he’s distracted, the rest of our tokens are going in the ice cold beer machine.

I’d like to add that batteries might only last 3 years if you live in a cold climate.

100 GB of emails? The heck are these people sending?

GPUs are specialized to be able to very quickly manipulate vectors, by using a principle called Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD). Where a CPU would have to individually operate on each element of a vector, a GPU can operate on all the elements in one go.
So maybe you could call it a SIMD card or Vector Accelerator or something like that.

Fair, but then again, iOS autocorrect isn’t exactly not AI.

Most people aren’t taking the time to type in ctrl+shift+u+2+0+1+4 when a regular minus-dash would get the point across with a single keystroke. But there is enough of a distinction that some people (like you and I) will use the proper punctuation when there is an opportunity to do so.
What I find far more suspicious is the unicode hyphen, because no human would be able to tell the difference, and would therefore always choose to input a minus.

It’s not that people are incapable of picking up on nuance, it’s got more to do with it being reeaaally hard to convey tone through text. Like it would be hard to fully grasp all the finer points of a psychological movie if instead of watching the movie, all you had was a text version of the dialogue.
Personally I’m a fan of using an ‘/s’ marker, but inside of a spoiler tag.

In a functioning society, we wouldn’t have to rely on the “philanthropy” of rich people to fund good causes. It should not be possible for one person to hoard so much wealth that they get to personally decide which issues get ignored.
Except the marketing in this case is actually more accurate. Using ‘kilo-’ to refer to 1024 of something is a straight up misnomer. The Ancient hackers really cursed us with an ambiguous convention for counting bytes.
Me opening the door thinking you’re referring to the band
Hell yeah, feed an LLM enough fairy tales and abra cadabra, rhyming becomes a form of magic irl.
