In light of plans to introduce this policy and the particular circumstances surrounding some boxers that competed at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, World Boxing has written to the Algerian Boxing Federation to inform it that Imane Khelif will not be allowed to participate in the female category at the Eindhoven Box Cup or any World Boxing event until Imane Khelif undergoes sex testing.

    Why wouldn’t they then measure testosterone levels instead? What if a trans man fights a woman, because he has a vagina? Is that a fair fight?

      If we were to borrow some rules from the Olympics, trans man fighting a woman cannot hava a vagina:

      1. Surgical anatomical changes have been completed, including external genitalia changes and gonadectomy
      2. Legal recognition of their assigned sex has been conferred by the appropriate official authorities
      3. Hormonal therapy appropriate for the assigned sex has been administered in a verifiable manner and for two years after gonadectomy.
