I don’t care if you hate it or love it, I just wanna know why you feel the way you do. Bonus points if you want to speak on specific categories you like/dislike.

      I wouldn’t say nobody, some people have exhibition kinks, but yeah it’s definitely exploitative far more often than it would ideally be.

      I’d also argue the military is a similar situation. I know people who got into the US naval academy and absolutely had other options.

      I think some would take the job more willingly if the job wasn’t as societally stigmatized as it is currently. “Nobody” is certainly a stretch but I get where you’re coming from.
